Commack Corners - Commack Corners at the turn of the century was a small crossroads. On the one corner was Wm. Mahlers hotel and across from that was the Otten's general store.

Burr Road - The Burrs have been part of Commack's history for generations. Their fame began with Smith Burr owning some top race horses and grew when his son Carll S. Burr opened his own horse training school c.1857.
